  • VOTE: Approve replacing brown carpet down hall and in all classrooms.  Carpet is all original from construction which puts at about 15 years old.  Hall, Kids Kove, Pre-K, Kindergarten are all to be replaced with glue down LVP (recommended by Ridout & Hugo's Flooring for commercial high traffic).  Remaining classrooms would be replaced with carpet squares which was recommended for aesthetics of class, noise control and ease of replacing damaged squares in the future.  Material was quoted at almost $20,000 for the 6,700 sq ft of flooring & 1,440 linear ft of cove base.  Labor for removal and install of LVP, carpet squares & cove base was quoted at $15,000.  There is some added labor included for leveling the floor and prep once the carpet is pulled.  We are asking for approval to replace at the expected price of $35,000 but not to exceed $40,000.
